The Libertines joined their help band on stage at Liverpool’s Cavern Membership final evening (January 24) – see what went down beneath.
The band will launch new album ‘All Quiet On The Japanese Esplanade’ on March 8, and are at present on a tour of intimate membership gigs throughout the UK, dubbed ‘The Albion Tour’.
The band have described it as a return to “[their] roots in these small sweaty golf equipment, the place [they] can see the whites of the crowds eyes”, and so they took time earlier than their Cavern Membership present to affix a neighborhood help act on stage throughout his set.

In October, NME spoke with Pete Doherty and Carl Bârat about recording the brand new album, their classes in Jamaica, and the inspiration behind its songs.
On the general themes of ‘All Quiet On The Japanese Esplanade’, Doherty commented: “All we wish to do is write lovely songs. That’s what we’ve at all times wished to do, however we bought distracted – largely by ourselves.
“On this event, we adopted the sample of writing songs that we imagine in however there was nothing else to say; no fanfare, no cacophony. That is the album we’re happy with.”
Earlier this month, the band shared a dramatic new single known as ‘Shiver’, of which Doherty mentioned: “I’d most likely discover it tough to work out who did what as a result of we have been each there the entire time by its creation.
“It ought to actually be known as ‘The Final Dream Of Each Dying Soldier’, however everybody appreciated the title ‘Shiver’.”
